Following a group prompt I looked for circles to photograph. Usually gravitating towards nature I challenged myself to look in other places.
Bringing circles into my awareness reminded me of my expectations of linear progress. I keep expecting progress to look like a straight line on a map. Driving from California to New York, if you keep going you'll get to your destination. Life isn't like that, or my life isn't.
Our construct of time is a circle. Each minute, hour, day and year come around again and again. I will be patient with myself when I need to begin again too.
