10 on 10: February

This month I took a solo outing to a small botanical garden in Thousand Oaks - Gardens of the World

On the drive over it looked like it was going to rain and I thought about turning back, but I didn't.

A statue of Father Junipero Serra
(I've probably seen too many Harry Potter movies -- he looks a bit like Voldemort)

It was a lovely day and we did finally get a little rain.

  1. Looks like a beautiful excursion, Kathleen, and a good thing you didn't let the rain turn you around. I especially love the shot with the leaves..how the color really pops out in them, and the first shot with all that sky!! Stunning images!!

  5. Stunning shots! Such a good decision to keep going instead of turning back - love the mood of the clouds, sky and light in your images - the B&W creeping branches is gorgeous - looks like a painting!

  6. The impending weather brings a certain sense of quiet to these images, well done. I love the way you found a natural frame for the teahouse. It is so great that you took a little time for yourself to do what fills you up, way to go!
