10 on 10: Introductions

This is my first 10 on 10 post and I'd like to thank Kim for inviting me and everyone else for being accepting and patient!  This blog was started with good intentions but fell by the wayside after a while. I'd like these (at the very least) monthly posts to revitalize my commitment to practice creativity and to keep my mind open to explore new places.

I'm usually up early. Sometime it's with purpose and I go out for a run and sometimes it just to sit with my coffee and my journal. I am married (19 years this July) and we have a 15 year-old son, Connor. This was the sunrise from my back-yard.

This is Connor. It sounds funny to call him my "only" child but he is, my one and only. He is kind, loving, smart and has a brilliant sense of humor!

I work in an accounting office and this tree is blooming outside. Whenever I get a chance to take a break I make sure to observe whatever beauty I can find. Photography is one way I attempt to keep my right brain active.

Max is 8 and still thinks he's a lap dog.













Hunter is 6 and sweet as pie. He'll play ball forever or until you get tired.









I spend as much time as I can outside and love photographing the sky and nature.

This is from a few years ago - I'm more comfortable behind the camera. I plan to attempt some self-portraits and will be brave enough to post them (as I learn some editing skills too).
